WMD SIG Education Programming - Overview
Mission Statement, Purpose of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)
SIG
Mission:
The goal of the WMD SIG to develop educational programs that provides insights and
useful information into issues of critical importance to our members (SIG and AACT),
based upon the latest science, best practices or emerging threats.
An important aspect of education is collaborative research and publication. Papers
authored by WMD SIG members will be highlighted on the Publications Link of our website.
Our sessions and the information we share will NOT be ìsame old same oldî WMD awareness
lectures with repackaged DoD slides, stale history lessons, or talks about bodies
hurled over the walls at Kafka! Each symposium will feature innovative programming,
expert speakers from outside as well as within the toxicology community, and opportunities
to interact with professionals from a wide range of performance cultures - veterinary,
military, and law enforcement for example.
In addition to sponsored programming, from time to time WMD SIG may participate in
outside conferences. As appropriate they will be highlighted on this site.
